Have honesty boxes had their day?
Posted: Sat Aug 14, 2010 5:31 pmThis seems such a shame. I remember as a kid dropping a few pennies in these boxes in exchange for fresh produce.
We still have honesty boxes down here in the s.e. - but given time I'm sure they'll disappear - just too many dishonest folks around today sadly.
It's a good feeling to pull up and take what you want and drop the money in the box!!
