Defence review

This story brought things home to me. With the world in its present state is it wise to carry out such cut-backs? Ought we leave ourselves in the situation where we cannot adequately defend ourselves?

Of course it'll fit; you just need a bigger hammer.

And with the RAF committed to buying two completely different types of fighter - Eurofighter Typhoon and Joint Strike Fighter - that means not much more than a hundred of each type which is an economic nonsense since the cost of producing each aircraft rises sharply as the numbers are reduced.
