It would appear that the Telegraph are no longer taking comments on their website stories. You are now directed to their faceache page if you want to comment.

If people are forced to use Facebook to air their views they may as well also get their news from there as well and the newspaper website will become completely redundant.

If you look (at least when I looked earlier) the comments are over 700 days old. The lazy story poster has simply regurgitated an old page and updated it.
