The Specially Selected Golden Topped Christmas Pudding beat 32 other products to the title, including puddings from Marks & Spencer and Selfridges.
This year's judging panel praised the aroma of the Aldi product, saying the alcohol flavour was nicely balanced with the orange marmalade, nuts and fruit.
