COVENTRY MESSAGE BOARD

Several years ago the council put in place barricades to stop travellers parking on the fields between Brookside Ave and Risborough Close.Allesley Park. Last Thursday , lorries and loading shovels and about ten men turned up and spent the day removing the barricade. Today there eight caravans on the field. Well done Coventry City Council.

Sorry to hear about that Jock. There seems to be a lack of will to tackle these travellers locally.

There also seems to be a total lack of commonsense among our council. Collectively, I doubt they could raise an IQ that reaches double figures.

On Friday, council workers arrived with a JCB to reinstall the vehicle barriers but doubtful if they ever look as good as the ones that were removed. The previous ones had been seeded with a variety of wild flowers that looked really nice in the various seasons.
