Which parts of the ring road will be closed for Motofest?

Part of Coventry’s Ring Road will be closed all weekend as the road becomes a race track for Coventry Motofest.

A sprint circuit will take pride of place between junctions six and four of the ring road, with other parts of the 2.1-mile circular route being used as paddocks and preparation areas for the races.

This will see the ring road closed off completely to drivers between J4 and J8 from 8pm on Friday and also anti-clockwise from J9-J8.

Other closures in the area include: Grosvenor Road and Short Street in their entirety, Westminster Road (Grosvenor Road to Warwick Road), St Patrick Road (between Friars Road and Cheylesmore Road), Manor House Drive (on to ring road anti-clockwise), Manor Road (from Park Road to ring road).

The closures are expected to remain in place until 6am - at the latest - on Monday morning.

National Express Coventry has stated that three of its services - routes 1, 11 and 12 - will not serve the Warwick Road bridge bus stop during the closure.
