He was an electrician possibly from Coventry, England. Other info that we have on Cyril is that his family may have been in the resturaunt business.
At the point in time of 1962, he was aged between 23 - 30 or so. He fathered a daughter Marteen Maria Annette Ansell who was born September 1962. From a previous relationship Cyril had son aged 9 years old in 1962. He would then be Marteen's half brother.
Marteen's mother was Margret Shirley Carr from Newcastle on Thynne. Margret AKA Shirley and Marteen immigrated to Australia in or around 1963 to 1964 give or take. They came via boat.
Cyril had a sister called Annette who also possibly immigrated to Australia and she may have possibly lived in the Dandenong Ranges Victoria Australia.
When Cyril came out to Australia he may have worked as a furniture maker. He was also best man at the wedding of Marteen's uncle Alan Carr and his bride Valerie. Alan is the brother of Marteen's mother Margret aka Shirley. The wedding was held in England possibly in the 60's.
Marteen's grandparents (now deceased) George Edward Carr and Winifred Carr used live at 10 Telford St, Campbelltown, NSW, Australia.
Marteen recalls as a young child of 4 years (approx) that she was visited by Cyril at a little flat behind a shop on Queen St Campbelltown NSW on one occasion and once at Captains Flat NSW.
The reason for the belief that Cyril may have later gone to Papua New Guinea is that Marteen's mother said that this had happened. There is a possibility that he may have married a Papuan lady and had children. We're only guessing here but there is a possibilty.
If still alive today, Cyril Ansell would have to be around 70 + years of age.
