Eggs 'can reveal your personality type'

A new study has claimed that a person's preference in the way their eggs are cooked can be used to predict their personality, job and even sex drive.

Researchers from Mindlab International claim to have uncovered the statistical relationship after interviewing 1,010 adults across the UK with questions about both their egg preferences and aspects of their lifestyles.

The British Egg Council has published the findings of the report, which assigns five personality types: poached, fried, scrambled, boiled and omelettes.

Poached egg-eaters are typically older, happier, and more likely to be socially outgoing and wear "decorative clothing". Boiled egg-eaters are more likely to be women, and have a tendency to be more disorganised, careless and impulsive.

Fried egg-eaters are most likely to be male, have a wider array of sexual experience, and come from Scotland. Scrambled egg-eaters are more likely to be less neurotic than others, and to own their own homes.

Omelette eaters are said to be reliable, well organised, more likely to live longer and less likely to get divorced.

The study also found that your star sign, your employment status, and where you were born in your family also can be linked back to your egg preference.
