Polly is very quiet?

Hope she hasn't contracted the dreaded Norovirus? :begging: I had it the same week this board went public so I know what it feels like.

Am also aware her ISP is rejecting email notifications from this board as it is also from all Gmail addresses.

Hi Guys/Gals
Just back from a business trip to Dubai and the weather is as different as chalk and cheese, at least did not see any snow out there as the heat was terrific and it will take about 3 months to acclimatise.
Saw the opening of the tallest building world wise and it was some event but where the heck they are getting the money from out there as there was no expense spared and the hotel we stayed in was unbelievable and the staff could not do enough for you
Had a tour round the palm tree island and that is out of this world and there does not seem to be any shortage of people buying the properties and these are fantastic, was tempted myself but would have to win the Euro lottery to envisage buying.
Have had a quick check on the postings and things are ticking away quite nicely so glad to be back

Angler - welcome back - your trip sounds great. It'll take you forever to acclimatise to our weather :D

Sounds like folks are still spending out there - unlike the news reports a while back where it was claimed people were leaving their cars at the airport and coming home, but there'll always be people with untold money to spend - where they get it from is another story!!!!

Welcome back and look fwd to reading more posts from you.

Thankyou for your welcome Stevie - and you're right - where the H is Nightmare :?

I am no longer squatting in the library - along with the illegals and the spotty students - :D
