The Trainspotter by Kevin Parrish

ARTIST and illustrator Kevin Parrish showcased his latest railway-based painting at the Leamington and Warwick Model Railway Society Exhibition at Stoneleigh recently.

Kevin’s The Train Spotter at New Street Station Birmingham around 1960, which was commissioned by a friend, was on show at his trade stand along with several of his other pieces.

He said: “I’ve always been interested in steam locomotives, there’s something about the look and power of the driving wheels and the steam.

“It’s a majestic look, especially on larger locomotives.”

Other works by the artist include collections of images of canal scenes, cityscapes, the countryside and bygone times.
