Thursday 5th May Elections

Postby rebbonk » Thu May 05, 2011 4:24 am

Coventry appears to be fielding 2 extremes on Thursday

An 18 year old standing as Socialist Alternative candidate for Wainbody in Coventry. http://www.socialistparty.org.uk/articles/11935/28-04-2011/coventry-youngest-election-candidate-speaks-out

A 90 year old standing for the BNP in Foleshill. http://www.bnp.org.uk/news/90-year-old-coventry-lady-stands-british-national-party

Coventry certainly is a City of contrasts!
Of course it'll fit; you just need a bigger hammer.

There's an Ed Miliband lookalike standing in our ward, presumably trying to capitalise on his resemblance to the Labour Leader?

I also heard there will be victory rally for successful Lib-Dem candidates tomorrow. It's to be held in the phone box in Gulson Road.
