25% of MPs may quit

Postby rebbonk » Mon Dec 28, 2009 6:31 am

Whilst on the surface this may be good news, there is a small matter that they may well be entitled to redundancy pay, which of course, will come out of the public purse.

The question is why are they entitled to it? If you or I decide to quit our jobs, for whatever reason, we are not going to get a penny piece. My understanding is that it is the job that becomes redundant, not the person, yet of course, no MPs positions will be lost.

The gravy train rolls on.... :fuming:

Of course it'll fit; you just need a bigger hammer.
