Local athlete Scott Hazell won the Coventry Half Marathon on Sunday.

The Coventry Godiva Harrier braved the warm conditions to lead home a field of over 1,800 athletes who managed to complete the course.

Hazell finished just under four minutes ahead of his nearest rival in a time of 1:11'53", while the first woman to finish was Sharon Orridge.

"It's been really hot and humid, but the crowd has been excellent," Hazell told BBC Coventry & Warwickshire.
