Survey finds over 40 per cent admit booze may well form a part of Thursday’s celebrations

As nervous 15 and 16 year olds across the region anxiously await their GCSE results, retailers in Coventry are being urged to be extra vigilant as thousands of students could be celebrating with alcohol.

The warnings come after a survey of 15 and 16 year olds from the region found that over 40 per cent admit booze may well form a part of Thursday’s celebrations.

Five per cent of those who want to mark their achievements with alcohol will try to purchase it themselves from independent retailers with one in ten asking an older friend or family member other than their parents to buy it on their behalf.

The survey of 1,000 GCSE students across the UK, which was commissioned by social enterprise Under Age Sales, also found that a further 13 per cent of teens from Coventry will ask their parents to buy drinks for them.

Another made-up story from the Telegraph, there's no mention of Coventry in the survey. :fuming:

Is 1,000 out of 700,000 really representative?

Whatever, I wish each and every one of them the best. If they don't get the results they were hoping for it's really not the end of the world. ;)
Of course it'll fit; you just need a bigger hammer.
