The Hearsall district of Coventry was originally known as "Whorwell".
Beechwood Avenue was originally "Whor Lane" (can't think why they changed it?)
Ball Hill was originally "Stoke Knob" (not much of an improvement methinks?)
Foleshill was originally "Fokeshull".
There are probably others in Coventry?
