"Housewife's close encounter with two glowing 'alien' balls"

A Coventry housewife ‘visited by aliens’ in her back garden sent a worried letter to the Ministry of Defence, pleading: “Have I or my springer spaniel been contaminated?”



And the woman – transfixed as two orange balls hovered only a foot from her – asked: “What do they want?”

The MoD report stated: "She said her springer spaniel dog was out in the garden, but unusually ran back in.

"When she went out to investigate she said she was frightened by what she saw and ran back in and locked the back door.

"She said what do these things want and could she and her dog now be contaminated."

Unfortunately, the MoD couldn't investigate the incident further as she had not given her full address.

The July 2008 close encounter which sparked the amazing letter is just one of a string of weird and wonderful sightings made public for the first time today.
