Recession beginning to bite?

Nothing to do with them cutting down the sizes of their produce hoping the customer won't notice is it?

Oddly enough bakeries are one business I expect to do better during a recession.

When people cut back on luxuries they tend to spend a bit more on necessities like food and drink in order to compensate.

It could be though that supermarkets are cutting into traditional bakeries' business with special offers of their own?
