A Coventry man has been charged with drug smuggling after three kilos of heroin worth £150,000 were found in the shell of a suitcase.

The drugs were seized by Border Force officers after a passenger was stopped in the baggage reclaim hall at Heathrow Airport on Saturday, February 13.

The case was passed to the National Crime Agency for further investigation and Guy Mohammed Ndikumana, 36, from Boyd Close, Woodway Park, was charged with importing a Class A drug.

He appeared at Uxbridge Magistrates Court on Monday, February 15, but did not enter a plea and was remanded in custody until March 17.

Border Force director at Heathrow, Phil Douglas said: “In making this seizure, Border Force officers at Heathrow have taken dangerous Class A drugs out of circulation.

“Our officers are on the front-line of the fight to stop drugs, weapons, contraband and illegal immigrants entering the UK.

“Using detection dogs and the very latest technology, they are on constant alert to keep them out of the country."

In what way is he a "Coventry man"? He had an address here but is originally from Africa, an important detail which the Telegraph completely left out.

The Telegraph seem terrified of being called racist. In many instances they leave out important details of a persons background.
Of course it'll fit; you just need a bigger hammer.
