David Cameron is playing up his Christian faith in an attempt to “mimic” Ukip and win back disaffected Conservative voters, Nigel Farage has claimed.
The Ukip leader said his party had been calling for a more “muscular” defence of Britain’s Judeo-Christian culture and that Mr Cameron’s renewed emphasis on his Christian faith would not see Ukip voters turning back to the Conservatives.
Mr Cameron has sparked an increasingly bitter argument between high profile religious leaders and key secular figures, after he said Britain is a "Christian country" and should be unashamedly “evangelical” about its Christianity, in article for the Church Times.
Going beyond the traditional warm words about Britain’s religious heritage often expressed at times such as Easter, the Prime Minister said he felt the “healing power” of faith in his own life.
Mr Farage told ITV Daybreak: “We have been saying for years that we should be more muscular in our defence of Judeo Christian culture, and after all we have a Christian constitution. The Church of England is the established church of this country.
“So what Cameron is doing once again was really mimicking what Ukip have been saying for years, in an attempt to win back the voters that he has lost, but those voters are not going to go back to Mr Cameron.”

I don't believe Cameron has a hope in Hell, and whilst he remains 'leader,' the Tories will suffer at the polls. Mind you, just who they would replace him with...
Of course it'll fit; you just need a bigger hammer.

OK, not Cameron himself, but he employs them...
