Bramcote Hospital in Nuneaton is to close

A 20-bed hospital for the elderly in Warwickshire is to close.
NHS Warwickshire said the decision to shut Bramcote Hospital in Nuneaton had not been taken lightly.
Professor Ian Philp, NHS Warwickshire's medical director, said in his view the NHS should do everything it could to give people the option of being cared for at home.
Chief executive Paul Jennings said it was felt that it was better to expand the intermediate care service.
The intermediate care service is for people who do not need to be in hospital, but are unable to look after themselves. It provides care at home.
NHS Warwickshire said a decision had not yet been made about the hospital site's future.

I think that's the lamest excuse for a hospital closure I've ever heard?
