Arson probe after 5G mast 'deliberately' torched in Longford

Firefighters were called after a 5G mast was deliberately set alight in Coventry. It happened on Oakmoor Road in Longford.
Crews from Coventry and Foleshill were called to the scene at around 3.50pm on Wednesday (August 5). When they arrived, they found a fire affecting a 5G mast near the junction with Hurst Road.
No injuries were reported. Police are treating the incident as arson and urged anyone with information to come forward.
A spokesman for West Midlands Fire Service said: “We responded to Oakmoor Road in Coventry shortly after 3.50pm on Wednesday. Crews and a 4x4 Brigade Response Vehicle (BRV) from Foleshill and a hydraulic aerial platform from Coventry attended, the first arriving within five minutes of being mobilised.
“It was a fire affecting a 5G mast that is believed to have been started deliberately and was extinguished by firefighters. All resources had left the scene by 7.45pm.”
A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: “We were called to assist West Midlands Fire Service after a 5G mast was reportedly set on fire on Oakmoor Road shortly before 4pm yesterday (August 5). Anyone with more information or who saw what happened can call 101, quoting log 3716 of August 5.”
It was probably the Longford Liberation Front that did it!
