Nuneaton Town strengthened their grip on the play-off places in the Blue Square Bet North with a 5-0 victory at bottom club Redditch United.

Boro were gifted the lead when Lee Ayres put through his own net before Simon Forsdick and Danny Spencer put them firmly in control.

After the break, Chris Dillon and Stuart Pierpoint completed the rout.

Nuneaton remain fifth in the table, but are now seven points clear of sixth-placed Blyth Spartans.

Kyle Storer played the full 90 minutes for Boro despite an unsavoury incident in Saturday's 1-1 draw at Solihull Moors, where it is alleged the midfielder spat at a home fan when leaving the pitch after being dismissed.

The club have said they will discipline Storer.

Rugby Town are up to fifth in the Zamaretto Central thanks to their 2-2 draw at home to Barton Rovers.

Bedworth United are out of the Red Insure Cup after they were beaten 1-0 by Daventry Town at The Oval.
