Playing their first game in three weeks, Simon Johnson fired Boro ahead, only for Kyle Storer to level with a free-kick shortly after the break.

But Boro then had to see out the final quarter of the game with 10 men after Storer was dismissed.

The midfielder received his marching orders when he picked up a second yellow card on 68 minutes.

In the Zamaretto Division One Central, Rugby Town picked up a point, but Bedworth United and Atherstone Town both lost.

Rugby played out a goalless draw against Woodford at Butlin Road which saw them drop out of the play-off places.

Bedworth lost 3-0 away at Arlesey Town, while the Adders let slip a one-goal lead to go down 2-1 at home to Leighton Town.
