There has been flooding in parts of Warwickshire and some flood alerts remain after several days of heavy rain.

High river levels led to flooding overnight at the River Avon between Rugby and Bidford-on-Avon, said the Environment Agency, which issued an alert over caravan parks, farmland and roads in the area.

"Locations most affected will be low lying land and roads near rivers. We are closely monitoring the situation," it said.

A flood warning for sections of the River Leam was removed on Sunday morning.

On Saturday, Warwickshire fire service warned on X flooding was "imminent" at the River Dene due to "heavy prolonged rainfall" and people should be mindful.

Last week, Storm Chandra brought flooding and travel disruption to parts of the UK, and saw dozens of schools close.

It was the third named storm to batter the country so far this year, after Ingrid and Goretti.
