An 88-year-old woman's Bingo winnings were stolen when a man knocked her to the ground and took her handbag.
The woman suffered a sprained wrist, knee injuries and bruising during the attack in Keresley End, Coventry, on Sunday evening, police said.
She had travelled with her husband on a bus from Radford Road in the city after winning about £120.
Police are investigating whether the thief had travelled on the same bus.
Warwickshire Police officers have appealed to hear from anyone who was travelling on the number 36 bus, which arrived in Keresley End at 2150 GMT.
The woman's 80-year-old husband chased the attacker along Old Winnings Road where the incident happened but lost sight of him when he went into Cross Street.
