Police recovered a live Taser following a chase through streets in Coventry. West Midlands Police said that officers on foot patrol in Spon End clocked a man acting suspiciously earlier today (September 22) and chased him towards Windsor Street.
While running, the man allegedly threw an object away. "This was recovered and found to be a live Taser," a West Midlands Police report explained.
A man, who has not been identified but is aged in his 20s, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a Taser. He remains in custody as investigations enquiries continue.
In the force statement, it added: "Our city centre neighbourhood officers are continuing their work to keep the people of Coventry safe. The team carries out patrols and operations on a daily basis, acting on information we receive from the community.
"Remember, if you see anything suspicious or have concerns about crime or anti-social behaviour where you live, let us know."
