Redruth home match against Coventry put in doubt (update)

Redruth's home match with Coventry on Saturday is in doubt because of a frozen pitch at the Recreation Ground.



Officials from the National One club are worried that the pitch may not thaw out in time.

"The ground is frost bound," said director of rugby Dave Penberthy. "It's got a covering of snow on it.

"The Rugby Football Union have given special dispensation this week for teams to cancel games from Thursday onwards."

The club will perform a pitch inspection on Friday morning (1100 GMT).
