They've been based in the city for decades
The Coventry headquarters of one of the biggest energy companies in the UK is up for rent. Offices for E.ON at Westwood Business Park are being advertised now with agency Cushman and Wakefield.
E.ON UK, part of the wider European energy company based out of Europe - it is considered one of the 'Big Six' energy suppliers in the UK.
It has called Coventry its home for over 30 years, becoming a major part of the city's corporate business and employing landscape along the way.
But its base in the city seems to be available to let, being listed as 'Ex EON HQ Building." But as far as we can tell, the company has not publicly revealed plans to relocate.
We've approached EON for a comment to clarify its plans.
The site's listing describes it thus: "This large HQ style building occupies a prime position within the established 100-acre Westwood Business Park – close to the warwick > University of Warwick and west of Coventry City Centre. The site has two entrances which aids access and egress.
"The building comprises a three-storey office building based around a central atrium which floods the property with light. Externally, the site offers 598 car parking spaces, including 25 EV charging points. The building benefits from a fantastic outlook over woodland area with large pond."
A spokesperson for E.ON said: “With the aim of creating a vibrant and bustling atmosphere in office space that meets our sustainability goals, we shared with colleagues earlier this year that we plan to move out of Westwood by the end of 2025. We will continue to maintain a presence in Coventry.”
