Delays on Foleshill Road as National Grid carry out 'utility repairs'

Temporary traffic lights have been installed on a major road in Coventry. Drivers have been urged to plan their journeys ahead.

Work is currently underway on Foleshill Road near Arena Shopping Park. National Grid will be carrying out utility repairs until next Tuesday (August 12).

Roadworks will remain in place over the coming days, Coventry City Council said. Delays are likely as multi-way traffic signals have been installed.

Motorists reported large queues near Arena Shopping Park earlier today (August 8). Traffic was said to be 'gridlocked' at around 1pm.

At the time of writing, Google Mapsshowed high levels of congestion on nearby Longford Road. West Midlands Roads urged people to plan their journeys ahead.

West Midlands Roads said on X: “B4113 Foleshill Road near Arena Shopping Park, Coventry. Temporary traffic lights. Scheduled ongoing until August 12.”
