Shoppers were shocked to see Minions on tractors descend on the car park of a Tesco branch in Coventry. They clocked the spectacle at the front of the store at the Arena Shopping Park last night, January 17.

Four giant tractors, one with a crane with three giant yellow Minions on board, parked up outside Tesco Extra store. Locals reached for their phones to capture the unusual sight.

For some, it may not have been the first time they saw the tractors as they form part of the popular charity Christmas tractor procession, which visits Coventry as well as neighbouring Nuneaton.

But their appearance last night was for a more serious reason. On the vehicles were a number of banners, one which read 'no farmers, no food.'

This was local farmers' efforts as part of a national peaceful protest outside supermarkets. The national action was the latest to be held in the wake of the planned government change This is in light of the government's changes to inheritance tax which the farming community will hit them hard.

Local farmers have also driven their tractors down to London to take part in protests outside Parliament.
