A thriving Coventry eatery has closed after six years with the building listed on Rightmove. The Botanist reportedly closed with immediate effect yesterday (January 6).

The venue opened on Broadgate in 2018 and has received an impressive 4.2-star rating from more than 2,400 people on Google. It also topped the UK Biophilic Design category at the Restaurant and Bar Design Awards in 2019.

Bookings can no longer be made as the city centre-based venue closed yesterday (January 6). Staff were said to have been 'unaware.'

Now, the city-centre-based building, which is based in Cathedral Lanes, has been listed on Rightmove. It can be leased for a yearly fee of £150,000.

CoventryLive understands there is also an on-account service charge for the current year, which stands at approximately £32,148. Viewings can be arranged with Leeds-based Barker Proudlove Limited.

On Rightmove, the listing for The Botanist says: “It is located at ground and first floor with a prominent double-height entrance, with an external balcony providing west-facing outdoor seating. A new FRI lease for a term to be agreed.”

A thriving Coventry eatery...

You don't close 'thriving' businesses!
Of course it'll fit; you just need a bigger hammer.
