Pregnant Asian women at Walsgrave hospital in the early 1970s were also exposed to radiation without their knowledge or consent to see what effect it would have on their unborn children. Both the BBC and the Evening Telegraph dropped the story after pressure from the MoD.

I didn't know that.

It's quite well known that during the 60s military aircraft dropped radiation into the air for experimental purposes. I also believe that radioactive particles were released onto London underground, again for experimental purposes.

Call me a cynic, but are actions like this responsible for the massive rise in cancers we see today? - I'm not into conspiracy theories, but it makes you wonder.

I didn't know that.

It was reported briefly in the mid 1990's when the information first became available but quickly suppressed after that.

It could be Rebbonk but here could also be other explanations. It is often forgotten that many of us would not have lived long enough to suffer from modern day diseases but for the advances in medical science.
