Officers were called to Aldermoor Lane in StokePolice are hunting for a hit-and-run driver who crashed into a Coventry home and fled. It happened on Aldermoor Lane in Stoke.
Officers were called to reports that a car had smashed into a house on Aldermoor Lane at around 11.50am on Monday, October 14. Residents living in neighbouring properties had to be evacuated as a 'precaution.'
Detectives investigating the incident said the driver abandoned the vehicle before fleeing. Cops had pursued the car earlier in the day after it was flagged as being stolen, West Midlands Police said.
Engineers from Cadent were sent to the scene and repaired a gas pipe that had been damaged in the collision, according to West Midlands Fire Service. Nobody was believed to have been injured.
