It happened yesterday morning (September 22)A woman and three children were left injured after a 'hit-and-run' in Coventry. It happened on St James Lane in Willenhall yesterday morning (Sunday, September 22).
Police were called to the scene of the two-car crash at around 11am. Officers erected a large cordon where the collision had taken place, with part of the road said to be 'blocked off.'
Paramedics from West Midlands Ambulance Service were passing by when they noticed the serious collision and stopped to provide aid. Crews found that four people, a woman and three young children, had sustained minor injuries.
All four received treatment at the scene before being taken to University Hospital Coventry in Walsgrave. Police said the driver and the occupants of the second vehicle left the scene with enquiries 'ongoing' to trace those involved.

In a statement issued today (September 23), West Midlands Police said: “We were called to reports of a two-car collision on St James Lane in Coventry shortly after 11am yesterday (Sunday, September 22).
“Officers attended and helped West Midlands Ambulance Service colleagues with the occupants of one of the cars, who thankfully were not seriously injured. Anyone who saw what happened can contact us via 101 or Live Chat, quoting log 1370 of September 22.”
A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “A passing ambulance witnessed an RTC involving two cars at the junction of Seymour Close and London Road, Willenhall, Coventry, at 11.14am on Sunday (September 22) and stopped to render aid.
“Two adults and three children from one car were assessed. A woman and three children received treatment on scene before being conveyed to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire. A man, the driver, declined treatment, and the occupants of the second car left the scene prior to assessment."
