A motorist tried to abduct a 17-year-old girl as she walked home in a Warwickshire village.
The man grabbed the teenager and tried to pull her inside his blue people carrier after he asked for directions in Baddesley Ensor, police said.
"The teenager managed to wrestle herself free and ran off to a nearby address for help," a spokesman said.
She suffered scratches to her wrist and arm in the attack near The Crescent about midnight on Friday 5 November.
The man had driven slowly along the road and pulled up alongside the girl as she walked from a friend's house.
The attacker is described as white, in his late 40s or early 50s with a goatee beard joined up to long sideburns. He possibly had a tattoo on his neck.
Anyone with information about the incident was urged to contact Warwickshire Police.
