Severn Trent issue update after major pipe burst hits thousands in Nuneaton
Severn Trent has issued an update on when a major burst pipe in Nuneaton will be fixed. At around 11am this morning householders across large parts of the town were hit by a major supply loss.
Homes and businesses in the CV10 and CV11 areas of the town were left with little or no water. Severn Trent investigations revealed that it was due to a large burst pipe in Coton Road.
Gallons of water flooded the section of road heading from the town centre towards Coton Arches. Engineers were sent to the scene.
Many households have seen their supply returned. But there remain some without.
In an update on the water company's website, it states that the issue should be completely fixed by 4pm. It reads: "We’d like to apologise to those experiencing poorer pressure or no water supply in the CV10 and CV11 area of Nuneaton this morning."
The statement continues: "This is due to a burst water pipe on Coton Road. Our teams are on site working to repair this and restore your water supply as soon as possible.
"We are confident the repair will be completed by 4PM. We are very sorry for any inconvenience this may be causing."
