Police have issued a CCTV image of a man as part of an investigation into a distraction burglary in Coventry. It happened on Broadway in Earlsdon.

A woman was approached at her home on Broadway and asked if she would like guttering work done to her house, said West Midlands Police. When she went back inside, the man snatched her wallet and made off in a white van, believed to be a Ford Transit.

It happened at 10.30am on Tuesday, March 5. Anyone who recognises the man pictured has been asked to get in touch with Coventry Police.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: “Recognise this man? We are looking to speak to him after a distraction burglary in Coventry. If you recognise this man, contact us via 101 or Live Chat quoting crime number 20/293602/24.”
