Young yobs are 'targeting patients' and causing damage at a Nuneaton medical centre. Police say they are getting regular reports of incidents at Camp Hill GP led health centre.

They say that 'multiple different groups of young' people are causing a nuisance and damage to the facility in Ramsden Avenue. "Patients are being targeted and even their access to the building in the evenings is being restricted by these groups, which is unacceptable." said Nuneaton and Bedworth Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT).

Officers have met with building's property management and, as a result, a zero tolerance approach will be taken against groups of young people 'hanging around' the front entrance to the building, officials say. "Unless attending with a parent or guardian for a specific medical appointment, there is simply no need to be in this particular vicinity," the team said.

They have warned that they will take action against those who continue to cause trouble and issued a message to parents and carers. "If any specific identifications are made, we will be, as the Safer-Neighbourhood Team, actioning robustly in line with our Anti-Social Behaviour procedures as we will not tolerate this negative behaviour," the team added.

"We urge parents/guardians to support this action and challenge your child's whereabouts if they are congregating in the Camp Hill area. Our aim is to keep everyone within the area safe from harm or distress and request your cooperation with this."
