Retail partner One Stop, which operates the Keresley End Post Office branch in Coventry, is set to close in March, it has been announced. The store has made the difficult decision to close the branch due to the current challenges of the economic climate.

However, One Stop have agreed to operate a Post Office Drop & Collect - a smaller and lighter branch format which will offer customers services from a mobile phone. This will allow customers to access prepaid parcel services and retain access to bill payments.

The branch is set to close in March 2024, but the exact date is yet to be confirmed. Customers will have alternative access to Post Office branches - Ash Green, Whitmore Park Road and Keresley.

The full statement reads: "Our retail partner One Stop, who operates Keresley End Post Office branch on our behalf, has advised that due to the challenges of the current economic climate, they have made the difficult decision to resign.

"However, to help mitigate the loss of some vital Post Office services, One Stop has agreed to operate a Post Office Drop & Collect, which is a lighter branch format. Drop & Collect will offer services from a handheld device, allowing customers to maintain access to bill payments and prepaid parcel services from the current branch location."
