Nuneaton Town will face Lincoln City in the first round proper of the FA Cup after beating Workington 1-0 in a replay at Liberty Way on Tuesday.
Young defender Gareth Dean headed home a corner at the start of the second half to settle the tie.
The two Blue Square Bet North sides had drawn the original fixture 1-1 in Cumbria at the weekend.
Boro now travel to Sincil Bank hoping to better last season's exit to Exeter City at the same stage.
Nuneaton manager Kevin Wilkin felt his side could have made the victory more comfortable after creating a number of goal-scoring opportunities at the start of the game.
"Within 10 minutes we'd probably had three really good chances. You kind of wonder then if you don't take one of those, whether it's going to come back and bite you on the backside," he said.
"But to keep the clean sheet and be as strong and organised as we were throughout, full credit to the lads.
"Hopefully we played the game in the right way tonight, trying to get the ball down and pass.
"We want to play attractive football. We never want to lump it long and I think you saw a lot of that in the first half.
"Overall it was a strong collective performance."
