Cops find huge cannabis farm in Coventry street with cables 'hanging from the ceiling'

A huge cannabis farm has been uncovered on a residential street in Coventry. It was found in Longford on Wednesday (November 1).

Officers were called to the street after being alerted to an illegal power bypass by British Gas. Cables could be seen hanging from the ceiling of the property on Longford Road.

Cops discovered approximately 50 cannabis plants at the address which have now been seized. It is believed the haul was worth tens of thousands of pounds, said West Midlands Police.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: “We were called to Longford Road in Coventry on Wednesday, November 1 to support British Gas, who were inspecting an illegal power bypass. Officers attended and a cannabis grow was found containing approximately 50 plants.
