Complaints have been repeatedly made by the local communityFines and warnings were dished out for double and illegal parking on a 'hotspot' Coventry road. Residents living in and around Foleshill Road made repeated complaints about parking near to their homes.
During a mini-sting, staged as part of the ongoing 'Operation Speedy,' police worked with Coventry City Council parking enforcement officers to target foot way parking. They carried out enforcement on Foleshill Road near to the junctions with Broad Street, Station Street East and West.
"Notices and fines were also given out for double parking and illegal parking on Stoney Stanton Road, " said a spokesman for Coventry Police. More action is set to follow as the crackdown on crimes that hit communities continues.
"These areas have been reported in by our local community as problem hot spots so we are working regularly with Coventry City Council to fix this," the police spokesman added.
