A luxury retailer will soon be closing down in Coventry. Chameleon will shut in a matter of weeks at West Orchards Shopping Centre.

Chameleon is a ready-to-wear luxury fashion retailer which stocks brands, such as Hugo Boss, Armani Jeans and Vivienne Westwood. It has been a fixture in the city centre for a number of years but will now close due to 'economic challenges.'

Manager Marc said every item has been discounted, and the store will close for good as soon as all of the stock has cleared. Among the reasons for the sudden closure are changing market demands and dwindling footfall in West Orchards.

Marc told CoventryLive: “Our store is closing down due to a variety of reasons, including economic challenges, changing market demands, and the need to adapt to evolving business conditions, and the footfall to the city centre is not what it used to be. It is a sign of the times, unfortunately.”

Chameleon said on Facebook: “We wanted to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude for your unwavering support throughout the years. It is with heavy hearts that we announce our closing down sale.

“Your loyalty has meant the world to us, and it has been a privilege serving you. As we prepare to say goodbye, we invite you to our final sale where you can find incredible deals on our remaining.

“It is our way of saying thank you for being a part of our journey. We cherish the memories and relationships we have built, and your custom has truly made a difference.”
