Ann Summers set to open in former luxury clothing shop in Coventry

A popular lingerie retailer will soon be opening in Coventry. Ann Summers will be taking over Tessuti on Upper Precinct.

Ann Summers specialises in sex toys and lingerie and has stores in the UK, Ireland, and the Channel Islands. Coventry BID told CoventryLive that the new city centre-based store will be opening in October.

It will be located next to Costa Coffee and Holland and Barrett. CoventryLive understands that the store on Hertford Street will be closing down before Christmas.

London Evening Standard recently reported that the multinational company plans to open more stores after sales climbed back to £100m. Bosses said they want to open four to five more stories before the end of 2024.

A spokesman for Coventry BID: “It is fantastic news that there are no empty units on Upper Precinct. All have been let to 100 per cent occupancy.”
