Bedworth United bounce back with Woodford victory

Bedworth United bounced back from their weekend 10-0 FA Trophy drubbing with a 2-1 Southern League win over Woodford on Tuesday night.

The Greenbacks had to wait until just after the hour mark to take the lead at The Oval courtesy of Dean Rathbone.

Levi Ramsay doubled the home side's advantage before Ricky Johnson's reply ensured a nervy end to the match for Bernie Cope's men.

No such joy for Atherstone Town, beaten 3-0 by Biggleswade at Sheepy Road.

Stratford Town won the Warwickshire derby at the Pack Meadow Stadium in the Midland Alliance.

Morton Titterton's side beat Coleshill Town 4-0, with Martin Thompson helping himself to a brace.

Coventry Sphinx lost 2-1 at Westfields and Studley went down 1-0 at Ellesmere.
