Officers were called to St Georges Road in Stoke



A man and woman have been left injured after reportedly being stabbed in Coventry. It happened near Dougalls Nisa Local on St Georges Road in Stoke and the man has suffered potentially serious injuries.

Officers were called to the scene shortly before 4pm on Monday, September 18. Paramedics and a Critical Care Car from the Air Ambulance Service also attended.

A man was found with an injury to the back of his head, and a woman was reportedly slashed on the leg. Paramedics transferred both victims to hospital for further assessment, said West Midlands Ambulance Service.

A full investigation has now been launched by West Midlands Police. Anyone who witnessed the incident or has information has been urged to call 101.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: “We are investigating after a man and a woman were stabbed in Coventry. We were called to St Georges Road shortly before 4pm on September 18 after a man and a woman reported being stabbed.
