Signs reveal a new future for a former bank in Nuneaton town centre. Coventry Building Society used to be based in Abbey Street before it moved to a new location in Queens Road.

It is known that there are plans for flats on the first floor, as well as another flat at the rear of the ground floor. But now it has been revealed what will be housed in the front part of the ground floor - a new café.

A new sign has been spotted on the frontage of the building which is in black and reads 'Cafe Haven'. Also, on the glass-fronted former building society doors, there is another sign that states 'Opening 25th August'.

A skip is at the front of the building as it appears that the ground floor is being cleared out ahead of the café starting to take shape. A Google search of 'Cafe Haven' shows that it is based at 124 Abbey Street, Nuneaton but there is no website yet for the business.

It is not yet known what times the cafe will be opening nor what menu the customers can look forward to trying. But it is another business to open in the Abbey Street area at a time when it is undergoing major redevelopment.

Just yards up the street are the ongoing works for the Grayson Place development, with green hoarding being spotted around much of what remains of the old Co-op building.
