Work is underway on various parts of the park.

Thomas Vale are the main building contractors and this is one of a number of cheesy signs dotted around the park where construction work is taking place.

New lighting has been installed along the wide tarmac path that runs from the park and ride side of the car park down to where it meets Coat of Arms Bridge Road.

Here is a link to an up to date set of pictures. Have moved them to the new page for the ECHO Newspaper so have been able to tidy them up a bit into chronological order and throw in a few old postcard scans as well.

The children's play area is shaping up very nicely. Last chat I had with a contractor working at the War Memorial was interesting. He seemed to think it was daft not having CCTV on it as the brass rails, plaques etc to be installed will be worth a few bob -"Pikeys will nick it!" ( his words, not mine. )
