New food hub with Harry Ramsden's and Ed's Easy Diner opens in Canley

Customers can find the brand-new food hub on Fletchamstead Highway



A brand-new hub serving food from popular high street chains has opened at a busy supermarket in Coventry. 'The Restaurant Hub' can be found at Sainsbury's Canley Superstore.

It welcomed customers for the first time on Wednesday (March 15). Shoppers can tuck into freshly-cooked meals from Ed's Easy Diner, Harry Ramsden's and Caffè Carluccio's with the option to either dine in or take away.

Opened by the Boparan Restaurant Group, the brand-new food hub features an expansive communal dining space with a range of cuisine from popular high-street restaurants. Ed's Easy Diner will be serving a freshly cooked 'flying start' breakfast for only £5.

Harry Ramsden's will be serving 'world famous' fish and chips, which includes cod fillet, chips and peas, for only £6. While Caffè Carluccio's will be serving a wide range of sandwiches and toasties all freshly prepared on-site from £2.95.

First launched in Selly Oak in July 2021, 'The Restaurant Hub' has since expanded to Walthamstow, Bridgend and Chippenham. Other locations include Kidderminster, Wolverhampton, Sydenham and Crayford.

Elizabeth Newman, Sainsbury's Director of Commercial Partnerships, said: “We're delighted to have opened The Restaurant Hub inside our eleventh Sainsbury's store in partnership with BRG, which will give customers in Canley the chance to enjoy a meal in-store, or at home, from a great selection of restaurant brands.

“We've worked together to create a destination we think our customers will love and I'm looking forward to hearing what they think. We'll continue to roll out The Restaurant Hub to more locations in the coming months, as part of our wider ambition for Sainsbury's stores to inspire and delight our customers with great value and distinctive, tasty food.”

'The Restaurant Hub' will open Monday to Friday from 8am to 6pm and from 9.30am to 3.30pm on Sundays. Customers can find the brand-new food hub at Sainsbury's Canley Superstore, Fletchamstead Highway, Coventry, CV4 9BJ.
