Rubbish, recycling and garden collection services over the festive period and New Year



The council in Coventry has issued an update on bin collections throughout the Christmas and New Year period. And there is some reassuring news.

There will be no scheduled changes to the collection of green lidded (rubbish) and blue lidded (recycling) bins. This means normal collections will continue as planned.

Crews will be working Tuesday, 27 December to Friday, 30 December 2022, and Tuesday, 3 January to Friday, 6 January 2023. However, garden waste collections will be temporarily suspended.

There will be no garden waste collections from 9 December onwards. Collections will restart on 18 January onwards.

December 2022

• Friday, 2 December: blue-lidded (recycling) bin and brown-lidded (food and garden waste) bin
  
• Friday, 9 December: green-lidded (rubbish) bin
  
• Friday, 16 December: blue-lidded (recycling) bin
  
• Friday, 23 December: green-lidded (rubbish) bin
  
• Friday, 30 December: blue-lidded (recycling) bin

January 2023

• Friday, 6 January: green-lidded (rubbish) bin
  
• Friday, 13 January: blue-lidded (recycling) bin
